Specific projects and initiatives

Intertoys, Netherlands (Interim operational role 2018)

January 2018 to July 2018

In January 2018 we were initially engaged to support and coach the new head of retail who is responsible for 400 stores and had predominantly previously worked in the franchise sector. Because the company was in turnaround it was very important that the new head of retail was brought up to speed very quickly. Initial focus was on setting retail strategy and defining key initiatives to quickly drive overall performance.

We were then asked by the interim CEO and CFO to undertake a review of the key metrics for the business. We met with all function heads to review the KPI structure, set new KPIs and establish a KPI dashboard for the company.

Furthermore we were asked to head up a project to support the business in reducing stockholding and clearing terminal stock.

Bearing in mind that Amanda was working in the Netherlands and that she spoke no Dutch, it says a lot that she quickly got people on side and to accept her.

Her technical knowledge in retail and bubbly, positive approach proved extremely effective. Her complete commitment drives commitment from others and her exceptional interpersonal skills are her towering strength.
